west for winter*

A free bird leaps on the back of the wind and floats downstream till the current ends and dips his wing in the orange suns rays and dares to claim the sky.

humbled

Never shall I forget that smoke.
Never shall I forget the small faces of the children whose bodies I saw transformed into smoke under a silent sky.
Never shall I forget those flames that consumed my faith forever.
Never shall I forget the nocturnal silence that deprived me for all eternity of the desire to live.
Never shall I forget those moments that murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to ashes.
Never shall I forget those things, even were I condemned to live as long as God himself.
Never.

I read the book Night by Elie Wiesel on Friday. I would tell you how moving it was, but I know that my feeble words wouldn't even begin to do it justice. So I will just say that when you get a chance, you should take a couple hours and read it yourself. It will change the way you think about your life...

I really love that book. It definitely makes you think. Actually, it's among my top favorite books. There was another one by him that I read as well, but I can't remember the title. If you ever get the chance, you should try to read some others by him. They are very eye-opening to say the least.
